NECO 2015 RECOGNIZES LORETTO

The academic performance of students of Loretto Special Science both in internal examinations, competitions and external examinations have been unequalled.

This is due to the zero tolerance in examination  malpractice  being instilled in them from the moment they step into the school. The conducive and serene environment made possible by the effort of the school management together with proper guidance, counselling and above all the dedicated effort of the qualified tutorial staff made the school to be synonymous with Excellence!

The students, therefore, have no reason not to be the best.

This outstanding academic performance also made the National Examination Council (NECO) of Nigeria in the last examination conducted, June/July 2014/2015, to recognize Loretto again as she produced the Second best student in Anambra State in the person of Okolocha Mmesoma.

At Loretto Special Science School, ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IS INDEED OUR PRIDE.

LORETTO GETS A 32 SEATER COASTER BUS AND 5MILLION NAIRA FROM THE GOVERNOR, CHIEF DR. WILLIE OBIANO FOR WINNING THE BEST SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL IN NIGERIA AWARD!

On 18TH October, 2016, at St.  Andrews Catholic Church, Adazi-Nnukwu, Anambra State, a thanksgiving mass of the Commissioner for Information, Mrs Uju Nworgu in which the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, other dignitaries, students (Loretto and Bubendorff ) as well as parishioners were present. The Pontifical Mass was celebrated by the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye together with other priests present.

Towards the end of the mass, two students from Loretto Special Science School (our school), by name Miss Dunu Gift Onyinye and Obiesili Chidimma were called upon to appreciate the Governor for his good works.

Dunu Onyinye             Obiesili Chidimma

These students rendered a flawless and outstanding speech with oratorical precision, confidence, and perfect grammar. The Governor and all present were overwhelmed, amazed and marvelled at the product of this citadel of learning which was just adjudged Best Senior Secondary School in the Federation by the Federal Ministry of Education on the 5th of October, 2015 in the 2014/2015 Presidents Teachers’ and Schools’ Excellence Award at Eagle Square, Abuja.

To appreciate the school for being the best senior secondary school in Nigeria the Governor donated a brand new 32 seater coaster bus and 5Million naira to the school. He also gave the two students who delivered the awesome speech a hundred thousand naira (N100, 000) each.

All these the working Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, who knows the value of education, fulfilled in just a week after He made the promise.

The school management, staff and students are proud of our Governor, who received the Award of best Governor on 20th February, 2016 at Lagos. We appreciate all your contributions to the development of this school. Once again thank you very much our beloved Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano.
